FAI BOARD OF DIRECTORS // MEET JEFF

JEFF HENDERSON // DIRECTOR

There is perhaps no better introduction for Jeff Henderson than what Jordan Scott said as Jeff prepared to share at the 2020 Maranatha Alliance Conference in Israel, as Jordan recounted a time Jeff and his wife Carol babysat the Scott girls so Jordan and his wife could have a weekend away together, while Jeff served as our Chairman: “[Our eldest] threw up on him. You won’t find many ‘Chairmen of the Board’ who serve you and your family so closely that they get covered in your kid’s vomit.”

Jesus arrested and apprehended Jeff’s life in his twenties, leading him away from a career in commercial real estate and towards a life of pastoral and pioneering ministry. Jeff earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Stetson University in 1986, and his M. Div. from Asbury Theological Seminary in 2001. He then served a number of United Methodist fellowships until planting OakLeaf Christian Fellowship, now Maranatha Jax, with his wife and four kids in 2003. (Fun fact: Jeff now co-hosts ‘The Better Beautiful’ FAI Podcast with Stephanie Quick, who first joined OCF back in 2004.)

Jeff serves on a number of international ministry boards, including Cornerstone International, the Malachi Network, and Dugit Messianic Center. He continues to serve Maranatha Jax as Founding Pastor and served as the Chairman of the Frontier Alliance International Board of Directors before transitioning into the role of FAI’s Director in 2021, but he’s more than that. The Body of Jesus has “many teachers, but few fathers.” Jeff is a father, and he’s one of the best. He’s uncomfortable with the high public praise we’re writing here and would prefer we write something short and simple, but we don’t care. There is no language on earth that can fully embody or articulate how grateful we are for him, or the impact he has had on our lives and our family. Thank you, Jeff, for being the kind of Bonus Dad who gets close enough to get covered in someone else’s vomit. We love you.
